VOTERS are the critical piece in our Election System
Now that we know that during the July 7th Primary Election, 24% – or about ONE in FOUR – voters’ ballots were not received until the crucial days of July 6th – July 9th, and with delivery delay issues with USPS, we need to VOTE and VOTE EARLY.
Next steps!
- October 5th – deadline for the mailing of mail-in ballots. If you do not get yours by October 9th, call your County Clerk’s office! Click on this link and scroll to the bottom of the page and get directly to your County Clerk.
- October 6th- November 2nd – TURN YOUR VOTES IN! Here are your options:
- MAIL using USPS. NOTE: Since all Mail-in Ballots will have prepaid postage, you do not need to provide a stamp. Providing a stamp will not expedite processing.
- USPS is not required to stamp a postmark on prepaid mail, so for mail-in ballots that do not bear a postmark, it must be received by your county Board of Elections by November 5th to count.
- For mail-in ballots that bear a postmark, it must be received by your county Board of Elections by November 10th to count.
- DROP off at Ballot Drop Box
- DELIVER at your county Board of Elections (you will need to present an ID). You can also have someone – a Bearer – to deliver it for you here.
- MAIL using USPS. NOTE: Since all Mail-in Ballots will have prepaid postage, you do not need to provide a stamp. Providing a stamp will not expedite processing.
- November 3rd – VOTE if you haven’t already
- DELIVER your own mail-in ballot at your local polling place
- Vote in person using a Provisional Ballot at your local polling place
